Pay 2023 Property Taxes to Avoid Lien

Real Estate taxes are assessed by August 1st of each year. They are due by mid-September. After such date, the outstanding balance begins to accrue interest. If they remain unpaid by April of the following year, a lien will be placed against the property for the amount owed. If the lien remains unpaid for 18-months, the Town will foreclose and take ownership of the property.
